Ok, so admit it, you probably secretly hoped that someday by some chance you'd get that long awaited letter from Hogwarts so you could be whisked away to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, even...Potions?!? If only Hogwarts were real...
Well, you might not be able to take classes there, but Hogwarts, at least as it was portrayed in the movies, is very much real. While much of it was filmed at Leavesden Studios, a lot of it was filmed on location in real castles, abbeys, and train stations. From London up to the Scottish Highlands, traces of Hogwarts are scattered across the UK.
This site is meant to show you where Hogwarts really is - your guide to the filming locations. You can learn about what scenes were filmed where, and what the real history is behind the locations that portray the magical world.
